all black everything

forever 21 cropped tank / talula lace bra / cheap monday high waisted skinnies / ray-ban circle shades

oh yeah, nothing says "hello summer" better than an all black attire and a fro to match. I don't know what's up with me lately, I can't seem to stop wearing dark colours in a season where I should be sporting brights, pastels, neons. well, I do, but not as much as I'd like to photograph. I'll try my best to change that though. it's been bi-polar-ish weather out and I always have such a hard time adjusting (warm during the day, chilly at night) so my outfits are getting kinda whacky..yikes. hence the simplicity of this outfit. if all else fails, wear black--unless its a wedding. haaaa, so many rules...

back in black

vintage rolling stones ac/dc cutoff tee / sheer maxi skirt / aldo bag / thrifted leopard loafers

donned all black attire yesterday for a friendly bbq and evening class. this shirt is quickly becoming one of my faves. it was a t-shirt until I grabbed my fabric scissors and now it's this summer appropriate wonder. i LOVE cutoffs, seriously. the weather is getting so much better, but it's still chilly at night so i threw a chambray denim shirt on after class. rock chic vibe, yeah yeah yeah, you dig it. also, new lipstick: mac rebel, it's like a fuschia berry mix colour. i wanted a deeper berry a la kate bosworth at the met ball 2012, but I'm going to hopefully ease into that look with this one. but it could also be because of her skin tone...yeah...? hahaha!

S/S12 nail trends

from bottom left to top right: sephora by opi "read my palm", OPI "mermaid's tears", china glaze "aquadelic", nails inc "wellington square", illamasqua "rare", OPI "planks a lot"

i'm consistently toying with the ideas of using those three shades of blue to do an ombre like this, or even easier, this ombre. right now I'm sporting the neon yellow illamasqua. it looks like a normal yellow shade, I couldn't capture the neon essence with my camera, but I assure you it's bright as ever. so the ombre will be my next big nail art attempt. and because it's spring/summer, the pastel shades are necessary thanks to nails inc. and OPI, which I'm very excited to coat my nails with. i might do something like this. so stay tuned, you may get a peep of them in future outfit posts. which colours are you digging for the season?
